With a career spanning almost two decades in education, Callie's policy and practice work has centered on what resources, training and support educators need to be successful and to ensure their students are thriving academically.

As a Managing Director, Callie sits on the senior leadership team and leads Cambiar's efforts to support the evolution, sustainability and deepening impact of non-profit high-quality instructional materials (HQIM) developers through funding, technical assistance and research and evaluation support.

Before joining Cambiar, Callie served as a senior program officer on Charles and Lynn Schusterman Family Philanthropies' national education team, where she led and managed K-12 curriculum ecosystem-related grants, co-led the development of strategies to deepen support of multilingual learners and served as a facilitator and leader for three national funder collaboratives. She previously led strategic partnerships for UPD Consulting, led educator engagement and tool development for the PARCC assessment consortium, and managed the higher education policy and practice strategy for Achieve. A child of educators, she began her career as a middle school English and reading teacher in Japan and Florida.

Callie holds a master’s in Educational Leadership and Policy from the University of Maryland, College Park and a bachelor’s in East Asian Studies from Wittenberg University. Outside of work, she serves as the current treasurer and past president of the Boys and Girls Clubs of Greater Washington DC Regional Board of Directors, a trustee for Capital City Public Charter School and as an advisor for Boddle Learning and English Learners Success Forum. She loves spending time with her partner and friends, boxing, golfing and seeking out live music in her adopted hometown of DC.
