Before starting Schoolrunner, Charlie spent a decade in New York building data analytics software for hedge funds and BlackRock. He started Schoolrunner after receiving a call from a friend running a charter school in New Orleans. The school served predominantly students of color from low-income families and was getting 100% of them into college. His question was: “how can I get teachers to use data to make better decisions for kids?”

Charlie quit his job and started Schoolrunner to make data more usable for teachers and administrators and now schools in 19 states are on the platform. Charlie was named a finalist for ColoradoBiz Magazine’s 2015 Entrepreneur of the Year Award and graduated from Yale University with a B.S. & M.S. in Computer Science.
