Jonathan Klein is the co-founder of UndauntedK12 focused on supporting America’s K-12 public schools to make an equitable and just transition to net-zero carbon emissions and to prepare our youth to contend with our rapidly changing climate. He is a nationally recognized social entrepreneur and executive with a demonstrated history of impact in education and policy. Jonathan is a co-founder of multiple thriving social ventures, most recently as CEO of GO Public Schools.

He has experience teaching and working within large urban school districts, and has advised parents, teachers, superintendents, school board members, principals, and education entrepreneurs across the country. Jonathan is a Peter Jennings Award for Civic Leadership finalist, presented annually to one Teach For America alumni for work that has led to far-reaching systemic change. New Schools Venture Fund named him Change Agent of the Year in 2013.

Jonathan is a co-founder of both the Oakland Public Education Fund and Revolution Foods. He was also chief program officer at the Rogers Family Foundation, special assistant to the state administrators in Oakland Unified, Bay Area executive director of TFA, and an elementary school teacher in Compton, California. He is a member of the Aspen Global Leadership Network and an alumnus of the Pahara-Aspen Fellowship and the Broad Residency in Urban Education.

Jonathan is a fully credentialed teacher and received a bachelor’s degree in history from Yale University and his MBA from UC Berkeley. He lives in Oakland's Dimond neighborhood with his wife and two children.
