The Center for Education Market Dynamics (CEMD) provides research, data analytics, and market insights to help the education sector improve outcomes for the country's most underserved students.

In her role, Kainat is responsible for building and leading CEMD’s full operations infrastructure, including finance, contracts and compliance, and HR/administration.

Prior to joining CEMD, Kainat worked as the Senior Director of Operations Strategy at the Center for Supportive Schools (CSS) for five years. In this role, she strengthened and streamlined CSS’s operations infrastructure during a period of rapid growth; built the contracts department, managing compliance and relationships for a complex portfolio of local, state, and federal awards; supported the CEO and leadership in developing and implementing the organization's strategy; and served as a founding member of the DEI team.

Before entering the nonprofit sector, Kainat taught English Studies at Montclair State University for six years. She holds a Ph.D. in English Studies from St. John’s University, an M.A. in English Studies from Montclair State University, and a B.A. in English Studies from Drew University.
