Neema Desai is the Senior Director of Program with All Means All.
All Means All partners with school and system leaders to increase equitable outcomes and opportunities for students with disabilities and other intersectional identities that have been historically marginalized.
Neema is the Senior Director of Program with All Means All. In this role, she works with school leaders nationally through a 15-month cohort that equips leaders with the adaptive and technical tools and mindsets to increase inclusivity and equity in their schools and systems.
Before joining the All Means All team, Neema worked for over a decade in various leadership roles with DC Prep, most recently serving as the organization's Senior Director of Schools. In this role, she worked as a principal coach and manager, supporting principals to manage and execute on their vision for their schools. Passionate about building communities and fighting for a world where all children have access to excellent schools outright, Neema has served in numerous roles in education such as Founding Principal, Principal, Assistant Principal and Middle School Teacher.
Before joining DC Prep's team, Neema worked as a Special Education teacher in New York through Teach for America. She is energized by the craft of coaching, leadership development, building rigorous and empowered school communities, and most of all, she loves collaborating and problem solving in the spirit of excellence for all children and educators.
Neema has a masters in Special Education from Bank Street College and a Bachelor's Degree in Public Health from George Washington University. She currently lives in DC with her husband and children. Neema is grateful to be part of the AMA team.
