Tara Seibel is the Program Design Lead at The Liber Institute.
The Liber Institute develops the leadership capacity of Indigenous students, families, and educators to transform schools and the communities they serve.
Tara brings to The Liber Institute experience in both K-12 and higher education, working and learning alongside practioners in Indigenous education. Her work has focused on human-centered design, educator instructional and leadership development, and youth-led innovation.
As the Program Design Lead, Tara works with The Liber Institute Team and its partners to co-create meaningful learning and development experiences for youth, teachers, and school and systems leaders.
Tara comes to The Liber Institute after working with Sinte Gleska University, Teach For America, and Design for Change to support teacher leadership and youth-led innovation.
After teaching and experience in curriculum design and instructional coaching, more recently, she worked alongside the Ministry of Education in Nicaragua to integrate design thinking for social change at a national level.
Now at The Liber Institute, she has the opportunity to elevate youth and community voice and promote agency through liberatory design processes - towards learning experiences for Indigenous education leaders.
