Christina Heitz is the Founder and CEO of Cambiar Education.
Cambiar Education supports transformative leaders of public school systems and educational entrepreneurs to develop innovative solutions that disrupt the patterns of educational inequity. Cambiar’s mission is to spark creative change by scaling bold ideas that undeniably prove how every student can receive a world-class education.
Prior to her role at Cambiar, Christina served as Managing Director of The Broad Academy, leading all aspects of recruitment, selection, training, and executive coaching for over 100 Superintendent/CEO/Education Commissioner roles in large urban, public school systems and at the state level across the country. The Academy works with passionate, proven leaders to catalyze equity, drive dramatic gains in student achievement, and create proof points of what is possible.
Previously, Christina worked with The Broad Foundation on a national campaign to raise public awareness about the need for improvement in K-12 public education. Christina has led innovation and new product development for three Fortune 500 companies including AT&T, SBC Communications, and Ralston Purina. She also served in leadership roles in several start-up organizations, including NorthPoint Communications, Institute of California, and AIM (Admissions Information Management).
Christina has a bachelor’s degree in economics from Duke University and an M.B.A. from the Kellogg School of Management at Northwestern University. She was also a Pahara-Aspen Fellow (in the gFunk cohort!).
