As a Lead Designer, Coeylen works with Cambiar's partners to co-design solutions rooted in the needs of the students and communities that they serve.

The Mira Fellowship provides an opportunities for motivated people to address our most pressing issues by stepping back, finding a new perspective, and creating an action plan. Each year, the Mira Fellowship accepts a small cohort from across the globe, and provides support as they research, test, and formulate their vision into a clear story and an actionable plan. Fellows in the first cohort addressed issues such as belonging, leadership, identity, and teamwork.

Coeylen has over 10 years experience working in innovative educational programming. After receiving her Masters Degree in Curriculum and Teacher Education from Stanford University, she joined the founding team of African Leadership Academy (ALA) as manager of curriculum development. She oversaw the creation of a cutting edge Leadership, Entrepreneurship and Design, and African Studies curriculum. Students who have completed this program are already changing the world with their innovative ideas.

After launching the ALA in South Africa, Coeylen joined the K-12 lab at the Stanford Institute of Design to help with teacher training and curriculum development. She successfully led workshops for schools and educators from around the world. In addition to working with a variety of world-class institutions, Coeylen has done extensive educational consulting with schools both locally and internationally. Coeylen is passionate about the creative process and has spent years refining curriculum to support people with a vision who want to bring it into reality to affect change.
